“Hello, Dolly!”
 |
Barb Fitch (National Life Ins. Co.), Sue
Keating (Pacific Life Ins. Co.), Colleen Kelly Laich (Nationwide)
and Carol Howard (Virginia Bureau of Insurance) strike a
pose with Dolly. |
It’s customary to meet lots of new faces at get-acquainted
receptions kicking off business meetings. However, few 2005 Exchange
attendees anticipated a chance to meet none other than the leading
citizen of Pigeon Forge, Tenn. – or a reasonable facsimile,
anyway. This Dolly, who welcomed ICAE Exchange attendees to Nashville,
came equipped with her two most famous attributes out front and
center – her engaging smile and trademark singing voice,
the latter of which she put to good use belting out a rendition
of “Nine to Five.” Fortunately, at no time during
the evening did she threaten to change the President of the ICAE
from “a rooster to a hen with one shot!” – about
which John was no doubt grateful.

dog”, John Cloyd, ICAE president, during the Sunday
evening “welcome’” reception. |
Gayle Pearson (Blue Cross
Blue Shield Georgia) and Liz Perry (Anthem Blue Cross and
Blue Shield) – who is chair of the Nashville Exchange
planning team – share a chuckle with Dolly Sunday evening. |
