“Hello, Dolly!”

Barb Fitch (National Life Ins. Co.), Sue Keating (Pacific Life Ins. Co.), Colleen Kelly Laich (Nationwide) and Carol Howard (Virginia Bureau of Insurance) strike a pose with Dolly.

It’s customary to meet lots of new faces at get-acquainted receptions kicking off business meetings. However, few 2005 Exchange attendees anticipated a chance to meet none other than the leading citizen of Pigeon Forge, Tenn. – or a reasonable facsimile, anyway. This Dolly, who welcomed ICAE Exchange attendees to Nashville, came equipped with her two most famous attributes out front and center – her engaging smile and trademark singing voice, the latter of which she put to good use belting out a rendition of “Nine to Five.”  Fortunately, at no time during the evening did she threaten to change the President of the ICAE from “a rooster to a hen with one shot!” – about which John was no doubt grateful.

Dolly sniffs out ICAE’s “top dog”, John Cloyd, ICAE president, during the Sunday evening “welcome’” reception.

Gayle Pearson (Blue Cross Blue Shield Georgia) and Liz Perry (Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield) – who is chair of the Nashville Exchange planning team – share a chuckle with Dolly Sunday evening.
